Sikich Technology Division has a dedicated Library Services team comprised of certified network professionals with more than 20 years of experience working in and for library systems. Having worked with over 60 local, public libraries, we have vast experience in assisting our library clients in planning and implementing networks, establishing security measures, and maintaining Internet related services.

Our services include:

• Desktop security for publicly accessible computers using such tools as DeepFreeze, Public Web Browser, Windows Group Policy among others
• Public PC time and print management, using for example, PC Reservation, SAM, LPT:One, Pcounter
• Network segregation, i.e., establishing separate networks for staff and public computers 
• Secure wireless networks for staff use; wireless hotspots for patrons
• Internet connectivity and other services provided by Illinois Century Network and other providers
• Firewalls, VPNs, antivirus, antispyware, and other security initiatives
• Secure access to library automation systems, both local and remote; knowledge  of Workflows, Millennium, Anzio, etc.
