Big changes are happening in the 403(b) world–are you prepared?
The IRS has issued the final 403(b) regulations, replacing existing guidance dating back 40 years. The new regulations make dramatic changes to the rules for all 403(b) plans, including “deferral-only”403(b) plans, and create a significant impact on not-for-profit (NFP) and other tax-exempt organizations. These changes will go into effect in 2009. Employers need to start planning now to ensure they will be able to meet the new compliance requirements by the end of 2008.
Seminar Highlights:
- New plan requirements and rules
- 5500 reporting requirement changes for 2009
- Mandatory audits for plans with more than 100 participants
- ERISA plan sponsor fiduciary responsibilities and vendor fee analysis
