SQL Reporting Services II: Advanced Reporting for Microsoft Dynamics GP

Course Description:
This training class teaches advanced report design skills using data from MICROSOFT DYNAMICS GP (formerly Great Plains). Through a highly-interactive lesson plan based on "real life scenarios", participants gain an increased awareness of advanced report design features contained in SQL Reporting Services 2005 by creating presentation-quality renditions of commonly requested reports. Students will gain an understanding of how the various components of SQL 2005 incorporate business intelligence through SQL Reporting Services, Integration Services, and Analysis Services.

Course objectives:

• Creating advanced presentation reports without using the report wizard
• Using charts, graphs and images in reports
• Creating reusable report templates
• Learning advanced functions and formulas 
• Reviewing advanced T-SQL scripts
• Adding interactive sorting and floating headers
• Utilizing various data sets in a report
• Creating reports within reports, with the sub-report item
• Reviewing SQL 2005 components for business intelligence solutions

This class is an advanced level class and is ideal for business users and technical users with prior exposure to SQL Reporting Services 2005.

Prerequisites:
SQL Reporting Services Introduction Class or advanced knowledge of SQL 2000 or SQL 2005 with advanced knowledge of report design and creation.
